What is HHC?

HHC or hexahydrocannabinol is a cannabinoid first synthesized by American chemist Roger Adams by adding hydrogen molecules to Delta-9 THC. Known as hydrogenation, this process converts THC into hexahydrocannabinol, or HHC.

While Adam created HHC from conventional THC-derived cannabis, the HHC molecule is now extracted from hemp, where it is found in low concentrations in both seeds and flowers.

Effects of HHC

HHC is highly compatible with the CB1 and CB2 receptors in our endocannabinoid system, and when they interact with them, they produce similar effects to THC. Users report suffering less paranoia and side effects than with THC and a feeling of “high”:

Another “side effect” of HHC is that you do not feel lethargic and tired as if you had taken HHC. You evade the couch lock so to speak.


Advantages of HHC

At this time, there is no evidence that HHC tests positive in a drug test. However, we recommend that you exercise caution in consuming these products before being tested, as this has not been fully proven.
